It is hardly a secret that France claims to be the gastronomic capital of the world. It is equally well known that France lives up to this reputation. So many of the people that come here to Paris come here to eat, but the overwhelming amount of choices and language barrier can be a bit intimidating. To many in France, the best dishes are quite often the simplest.
We began our tours in 2010 with the intention of showing that real, down-to-Earth French cuisine is not only delicious, but quite approachable as well. The tours combine eating wonderful French food and a walking tour of Paris’ best neighborhoods. We sit down at all restaurants and take our time to enjoy the food and each other’s company. We hope that you join us so that we can show you what makes this country, and this city so special.
For the Montmartre tour we have three stops: one for the starter, one for the main course, and one for the dessert. Wine or cider will be served at all three stops.
The first restaurant focuses on charcuterie and cheese, where we will have artisanal products which change on a daily basis. We try to choose wines on tour that people haven't heard of before, or would be difficult to find outside of France.
The second restaurant is where we will be having our main course and everyone will have a choice of their own main course. We will explain what each dish is and on average we have at least 2-3 choices. We will get wine here as well to go with our food. The dishes change up daily and we always work with restaurants with homemade cuisine cooked with fresh products.
Between stops, we will discuss a few of the artists that lived in the neighborhood, such as Van Gogh, Picasso, Renoir and some other stories about its history. About 1/3 of the tour consists of walking around and talking about the people and history of Montmartre, and 2/3 of it is spent at the table.
The third restaurant that we typically use is a traditional Breton crêperie, where we will each have a crepe paired with cider (or coffee or tea if you prefer).

On the Latin Quarter tour, we visit three stops, one for the starter, one for the main course, and one for the dessert. Wine is served at the first two stops on tour.
We visit one of Paris' best wine shops to start the tour, where we start with some charcuterie and (of course!) some wine. The offerings change up very regularly, and we spend quite a bit of time discussing wine, particularly natural wine.
In between stops, we spend some time talking about some of the history of the neighborhood, some of which is little known. About 1/3 of the tour is spent walking while the other 2/3 of the tour is spent around the table.
At our second stop, we visit a traditional restaurant where we have our main course, and everyone will be able to choose their own. The products change with the seasons and always freshly prepared. We will have wine served to be paired with the food at this stop.
At our third stop, we visit an award winning pastry shop, where we sample several different pastries for dessert.
